Help & FAQ

Answers to common questions about managing rentals and using PropSked.

Getting started

Who can create a PropSked account?

Public registration is for landlords and property managers. Prospects can request showings and follow the application instructions on a rental listing without creating a manager account.

What happens after I register?

Verify your email and complete the account and organization setup. Your dashboard then gives you access to your rental workspace.

Properties and Units

What is the difference between a Property and a Unit?

A Property holds the building or home details. A Unit is the rental space you manage within it. A single-family home uses one managed Unit; a multi-family Property can contain multiple Units.

Where do I add or update a rental?

Open Properties from the dashboard navigation. Add a Property, add Units where applicable, and open the rental workspace to manage listing information, media, showing settings, and application settings.

Listings

How do I make a listing public?

Save the rental information and use Listing setup to review the readiness checks. When the listing is ready, deliberately activate it there. Saving changes alone does not activate a listing.

Can I preview a listing before activation?

Yes. The listing preview in your rental workspace lets you review saved listing information before activation. The preview is for the authorized manager; use the public listing link once the listing is active.

Showings

What showing options can a listing offer?

A manager can offer appointment slots, ask prospects to suggest times, or collect waitlist interest. The options shown depend on the listing settings and available scheduling information.

Is a showing request automatically confirmed?

Appointment requests can use manual or automatic approval, depending on the manager settings and slot availability. Read the confirmation shown after submitting. Managers can review requests, approve them, reschedule, or schedule another showing from Showing Requests.

Rental applications

How do I start or return to an application?

Follow the application instructions on the rental listing. For a PropSked application, start with your email and use the private link and six-digit PIN sent to you to access it again. Some managers use an external application workflow instead. Keep your link and PIN private.

Can I edit an application after submitting?

You can work on a draft and save progress using its save controls before submitting. After submission, the application can be reviewed but its answers can no longer be edited. Contact the property manager about your rental application or a correction.

Account and Settings

Where are Settings and account security?

Open Settings from the manager navigation to manage organization information, defaults, and account preferences. Account security also provides authenticator-based two-step verification and recovery codes. Store recovery codes safely.

What is a notification-only contact?

A notification-only contact is a verified email recipient for categories enabled by the manager, where the account has access to this feature. It does not give the recipient a PropSked login or dashboard access.

Privacy and Security

Who receives my showing or application information?

The property manager for the rental receives the contact and rental-process information you submit. Review the collection notice on the form and the Privacy Policy for more information. Provide only information relevant to the rental process.

How do I ask a privacy question?

Use the email on the Contact page for questions about PropSked privacy practices or a privacy request. The Privacy Policy explains the service practices and the separate role of the property manager.

Troubleshooting

What if I forgot my password?

Use Forgot password on the login page and follow the reset instructions sent to your email. If the link expires or has already been used, request another reset link.

What if an email or access link did not arrive?

Check the email address you entered and your spam or junk folder. Use the resend or recovery option where available. For a time-sensitive showing or rental application, contact the property manager directly. For help with PropSked, use the Contact page; never send your password, PIN, recovery codes, or private access link.
